Wayne PLS100 1 HP 720 GPH Portable Lawn Sprinkling Pump

I purchased this Wayne PLS100 1 HP 720 GPH Portable Lawn Sprinkling Pump, Stainless to save money on water bills. In 2013 I stopped watering my lawn and let it burn up do to high water bills. The hose going into the creek was purchased at my local Home Depot. I used clamps to attach to the pump. The water from the creek to my yard is about 15 ft. I was able to run a 100 ft garden hose from the pump to my front yard and use an oscillating sprinkler with plenty of power.

I'm thinking it is because I used the creek water rather than city water. It is an electric motor filled with conductive copper wire and is NOT water proof! If you do not have a proper ground you could be electrocuted as well if your near by and standing in water. This pump does a great job of moving water from our irrigation ditch to our garden, lawn, etc. Still everything worked fine.
  • Multi-purpose 1 HP pump
  • Generates suction lift up to 20 feet
  • Made from rugged stainless steel
  • Pumps up to 720 gallons per hour
  • 1-year limited warranty
Can't speak for how well it would work if it has to lift the water several feet... I love this pump!! I use it to increase pressure from my outdoor faucets and to pump water from my rain barrels to my lawn sprinklers. This pump works continuously. My yard is quite a slope - highest point 10 feet but this pump made my sprinklers throw water higher than they had ever done before.

Ama zon also has the best price anywhere. I have 3/4" pvc pipe attached at the intake with a 3/4" footvalve at the bottom in the water source (both can be bought at any hardware store) 1-1/4" footvalve works even better on the 2nd pump I bought. I then take plumber's putty and wrap it around the OUTSIDE of the connection that goes INTO the pump. As long as there's enough water source to cover the entire footvalve, it works perfectly everytime.

I have to move the Wayne PLS100 1 HP 720 GPH Portable Lawn Sprinkling Pump, Stainless around on my place as I have different points of water source (buying the 2nd pump helps). When it needs primed I NEVER use the priming port on the side of the pump, I just unscrew the hose in the top and pour the water in there with a funnel.
